Three Poems to the Divine
1. I Love and Praise You, Beloved
I love and praise You, Beloved,
From the temple of my heart
That we have built together,
Just You and me,
In the silence of my sorrows…
I love and praise You, Beloved,
For You are the torch on my path,
My wings and my wind…
You are the love I am able to feel,
For You are its well.
You are the impossible miracles
That happen every day.
You are the mountains I have crossed
With Your hand guiding me
Over the precipice of my fears…
I love and praise You, Beloved,
For You are the conductor
Of my divine music.
You are the music sheet
On which I write my notes,
And I wish to sing them forever
So that all Your creation
May wonder and admire You.
2. I Open My Wings to You, Beloved
I open my wings to You, Beloved,
Blindly free…
Without destination,
Because the feeling of You on my wings
Is the greatest reward.
Simple acceptance…
Like a rock overgrown with grass,
Impressive in its loneliness…
Washed by the sea,
Melted into the sand…
Your infinity is my essence.
The closer I am to You,
The wider I become.
Oh, how deeply I love Your sky
And how much Your love fulfills me…
Beloved,
The silence is so deep…
Telling me stories
About You, about me,
And about Creation.
3. I Sing for You, Beloved
I sing for You, Beloved,
In the intimacy of our love…
With You listening.
Tears run down my cheeks
Because You have made music alive,
And every song of Yours is a jewel
Purifying my soul.
I sing for You, Beloved,
While the sun goes down,
The song of the Earth
That You have made breathtakingly beautiful.
I sing for You, Beloved,
Because You are beside me,
Loving all my perfect imperfections,
Like Your beloved child
Of whom You are proud.
